THE STORY BEHIND THIS TRIP
Around twenty-seven years ago, a young boy preparing for his confirmation exams met an altar boy who had already sat for the same exam. That young boy was Jessy Obora, now an accomplished fitness trainer, and the altar boy was Nick Aduda, Founder and CEO of Duduz Safaris.
The two hit it off immediately. Jessy was even kind enough to share the packed lunch his mum had prepared for him, and Nick, who rarely says no to food, pretended to be full but was still very happy to dig in. Back then, Jessy used to have a small polite voice which is quite different from the big muscular frame that we see today!
On the 10th of May this year, Jessy and I had a phone call. The conversation led to one exciting idea: many of Jessy’s friends often travel to the same destinations for holidays, and Jessy wanted to welcome them to Kenya, his home country. Jessy has helped a fair number of people improve their health and fitness and it's on this note that we should also open them up to a new destination, which we believe, is quite likely to be one of, if not the best trip they have ever been on.
This trip has been curated with heart and soul specifically for those of you that would like to experience a Safari. At Duduz Safaris, Jessy’s friends are treated as family, and by the end of the journey, you will be left fuming at Jessy as to why he didn't organise this safari earlier.

In 1928 and again in1929, Edward, then as Prince of Wales (later King Edward viii) made his way to Kenya for Safaris while in 2010 the current Prince of Wales, William proposed to his wife Kate Middleton in Kenya and he has made numerous other trips to Kenya for holidays. Prince Charles' grandmother, Queen Elizabeth even became Queen while she was in Kenya!

One
Arrival in Nairobi | Welcome to Kenya
Warm airport reception, hotel transfer, check-in at the Trademark Hotel, relaxation, and an easy first evening depending on arrival time.

Two
Nairobi Wildlife & Cultural Discovery
Early visit to Nairobi National Park, Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, lunch at Cultiva, and the Giraffe Centre before preparing for the trip to the Mara the following day.

Three
Journey to the Maasai Mara
Scenic drive in custom safari Land Cruisers, lodge check-in, lunch overlooking the savannah, and an introductory afternoon game drive.

Full Day Safari Adventure
We will indulge in Morning and afternoon game drives in search of the big five (photography aficionados make sure to have your cameras at hand) and if lucky, we may even bump into a Lion pride digging into lunch? A herd of Elephants marching in single file or a Leopard stalking it's intended meal for the day!

Balloon Safari & Maasai Cultural Experience
In the morning, we will leave camp for an hour long sunrise hot-air balloon safari followed by champagne bush breakfast right in the Masai Mara before heading to a Maasai village for a cultural immersion experience visit with an afternoon game drive in the cards after taking lunch at camp.

Flight to Watamu | Kenya’s Coastal Paradise
After breakfast, we'll board a domestic flight to Malindi Airport before a short transfer to the airy Temple Point Resort. After checking in, we will have a short bare-foot stroll out on the amazing sandy white beach before hopping on a sunset dhow ride to close out the evening.

Marine Adventure & Sunset Dhow Experience
At exactly 10am, we will head on out to the nearby Watamu Marine National Park for some snorkeling on the Indian Ocean, dolphin spotting, sandbank relaxation and to enjoy Swahili seafood for lunch. After lunch, and maybe a short nap, we will have a sundowner at East Africa's best sunset beach bar, Lichthaus Watamu.

Historical & Natural Wonders of the Coast
After enjoying some good sleep (and selicious breakfast) we will head out on an hour long drive to the Mambrui sand dunes where we will ride quad bikes on sand dunes with the Indian Ocean in the background right before heading to explore an 11th century founded UNESCO World Heritage site, the Gede Ruins before returning to the Temple Point Resort for the night.

Leisure, Lifestyle & Beach Escape
Return flight to Nairobi is on the cards where you will get to relax and pack properly wating for the return trip back home to Wales on the following day.

Departure
Our driver will come pick you up for the transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for you to arrive just in time for your trip back home. Funny thing is that by the time you land back home in Cardiff, we are sure that you will be plotting your next trip back to Kenya!
